Targeting has become a popular topic this opening weekend as several players have found themselves tossed from games for hitting opponents above the shoulders with the crown of their helmets.

Oregon defensive back Terrance Mitchell was the latest player to have to watch from the locker room after he launched into Nichols State quarterback Beaux Herbert head first while the quarterback was trying to slide.

It’s an absolutely brutal hit.
