Three males charged with a number of offenses in Bancroft

Busy weekend for Bancroft OPP

(Bancroft, Ontario)On Friday the 12th of August 2011, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report suspicious persons on the roof of a building located on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.  Officers attended the location where they located three males. Following an investigation two male adults and one male young person were arrested for several offenses.

Andrew Keller, 18 of Carlow-MayoTownship has been charged with trespass by night, break and enter and theft under, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.  Mr. Keller was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 20th of September 2011.

Cody Keller, 18 of Bancroft has been charged with trespass by night, break and enter and theft under.  Mr. Keller was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 20th of September 2011.

A 17 year old male young person of Bancroft has been charged with trespass by night, break and enter and theft under.  The young person was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft youth court on the 22nd of September 2011.

 FEMALE CHARGED WITH OVER 80

 On Saturday the 13th of August 2011, the Bancroft OPP received the report of an impaired driver on Highway 62 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.  The area was patrolled and the vehicle was located and stopped by police onPeever Road in Hastings Highlands.

During the investigation the officer determined that the adult female driver had been consuming alcohol.

49 year old Michele Rupert of Hastings Highlands has been charged with operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.  Ms. Rupert was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 27th of September 2011.

MALE CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AND OVER 80

On Saturday the 13th of August 2011, the Bancroft OPP was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision onFootbridge Road in theMunicipality ofHighlands East.  Officers arrived at the location and observed a pickup truck in the ditch.

During the investigation, the officer determined that the adult male driver had been consuming alcohol.

Daniel Jobbitt, 18 of Peterborough, Ontariohas been charged with impaired operation, operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood and drive disqualified, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.  Mr. Jobbitt was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Bancroft court on the 30th of August 2011.

A 16 year old male passenger ofPeterborougharea sustained minor injuries.  A second 16 year old male passenger also of thePeterborougharea did not sustain any injuries.

THEFT OF TRAILER

 On Saturday the 13th of August 2011, the Bancroft OPP received the report of a theft from Spooks Bay Road in the Municipality of Highlands East.  Investigation revealed that sometime since the 01st of August a green utility trailer was stolen.
