Fraud occurences result in arrests – OPP

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On Thursday the 7th of July 2011 they City of Kawartha Lakes OPP received information from the Peterborough-Lakefield Police Service in regards to a vehicle and suspects in relation to several fraud occurrences.

Three fraud arrests. OPP reports.

At approximately 8:50 p.m. the vehicle, a blue Chrysler 300, was located in the village of Bethany and three males were arrested. Further investigation by the City of Kawartha Lakes Crime Unit revealed that the males had committed several offences in the City of Kawartha Lakes as well.

Mohammed Mosiy MUHIB, 23years, of Scarborough, was charged with Personation with intent, Obstruct Peace Officer, Drive Disqualified, Possession Fraudulent credit card, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Breach of Probation X 2, Fail to Comply with Recognizance X3, Fraud Under #5,000 and Attempt Fraud Under $5,000 X 2, all contrary to the Criminal Code. This accused was also charged with Driving while under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

He was held for bail and appeared in court on the 8th of July, 2011 in Lindsay, Ontario

Mohn Akbar NAWABI, 27 years, of Scarborough, was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, Possession of Fraudulent Credit Cards, Breach of Recognizance X 2, Fraud Under $5,000 and Attempt Fraud Under $5,000 X 2, all contrary to the Criminal Code.

He was held for bail and appeared in court on the 8th of July, 2011 in Lindsay, Ontario

Shakib GHARIBZADA, 21 years of Scarborough, was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, Possession of Fraudulent Credit Cards, Fraud Under $5,000 and Attempt Fraud Under $5,000 X 2, all contrary to the Criminal Code.

He was held for bail and appeared in court on the 8th of July, 2011 in Lindsay, Ontario
