Archibald and Regina – Highlands Summer Festival

July 11, 29 and Aug 1 – 2011 – Northern Lites Pavilion – Haliburton

Words should not divest this concert from your personal perusal.

Because it’s just that good.

So I suggest simply, humbly and quite stridently.

David and his daughter warm up at the sound check. Go grab a ticket for Archibald and Regina. July 29 and Aug 1 at the Northern Lites Pavilion. Photo by Archie Manning.

Go see this old ham – David Archibald – and this charming ingenue – Jocelyn Regina.

You missed the debut last nite. At the Northern Lites Pavilion in Haliburton.

Seamus and I both caught it and because I thought the old Irishman was writing the review… well I come unprepared save for these twin soundceck vibes.

So you have this and my word that upon my return from work … I will fill this page with the flowery inundations that all of you have come to expect.

Really though. Listen to the voices, the words and the melodies.

I offer them in hope that you will disregard the spotty video and just listen to the songs, the voices and the genuine care that these two put into what is and will be a great show.

Buy a ticket today for July 29 and August 1.

You can say, down the road in about 5 years.

“I was there when Jocelyn Regina made her song-writing debut in her home town.”

But, because I have a reputation for purpled poesy – guilty.

I fear I am not making myself absolutely and unequivocally clear here.

Really… go see them perform.

The old dog, Archibald still has some new tricks.

And the young dog – yes I can call her that because she played a dog on stage last year – is a serious actress, performer, writer and musician.

That’s not hyperbole.

Just good solid fact!
