Sir Sam’s ducked a weather bullet this week.
March Break is one of the busiest times of the year for Sir Sam’s Ski and Summer Resort. An ugly weather system threatened operations on Thursday and Friday last week, but the weather turned around just in time for the opening weekend of the annual spring break.
Last Sunday the hill hosted an exciting skier and boarder cross event.
Co-owner Chris Bishop said sunny skies and warm temperatures brought about approximately 1,200 eager skiers to the slopes.
The annual Spring Splash is tentatively slated for March 26. “It’s an end of season event where skiers attempt to ski, board or slide over water,” says Bishop.
Prizes for best costumes and the Apres Party will feature the “Ya Baby’s Band” and beef on a bun Dinner.
Cost for the dinner and entertainment is $25 per person. [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
